The spark for Grupo Churrasco Na Brasa ignited in 2022 after an impromptu Roda de Samba at the International Samba Festival in Coburg and lively gatherings in Gothenburg. Though our initial momentum fizzled out, the dream never died.
Fast forward to early spring 2023, the band’s idea resurfaced, but it was a memorable road trip in May that truly changed everything. As Sebastian and Anders cruised through scenic landscapes on their way to Denmark, their shared vision for the band crystallized, breathing new life into the project. From that exhilarating journey, Grupo Churrasco Na Brasa was born, ready to electrify the world with the vibrant rhythms and infectious joy of Brazilian samba.
Grupo Churrasco Na Brasa marking their first major collaboration and showcasing their talent to a broader audience when backing up Uendel Pinheiro for his visit in Gothenburg. The band also hosted their first Samba É Nóis event in Oslo, inviting Vando Oliveira. This event was a milestone, highlighting their ability to organize and perform in large-scale events, and throughout 2024, the band’s reputation grew as they became known for their vibrant performances and cultural authenticity.
